Investor's House

The company that i am working with, here in Kyoto, has recently acquired an investor, who has graciously allowed us to use the front section of her home as our office, and, in order to improve productivity, i have also moved into the rear room at the back of the house.

This building is absolutely incredible. It was build in the 1920's as an obi factory (the part of the kimono that wraps around the waist), and was also used as an import/export company later on). Haruesan, our investor, acquired the building after her own company went public in the 1960's. It looks like something out of one of those samurai/edojidai movies, complete with gardens, shoji doors, and tatami floors. Please enjoy the pictures...
